Industrial training institutes and industrial training centers is a qualification and are post-secondary schools in India constituted under the Directorate General of Training, Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, Union Government, to provide training in various technical trades.
The institution is an vocational training provider known as Industrial Training Institute affiliated by DGET, New Delhi and DVET (Directorate of Vocational Education & Training, Maharashtra).
ITI is established by the Directorate-General for Employment and Training (DGET), the Ministry of Skills Development and Entrepreneurship and the Government of the Union to provide training in different trades. Across India, there are many ITIs, both governmental and private, that offer vocational training to students.
The FR. AGNEL PRIVATE INDUSTRIAL TRAINING INSTITUTE (formerly Agnel Industrial Training Institute) was founded in the year 1965 as a logical extension of Fr. Agnel Technical High School started in 1961. The aim of starting the industrial training was to provide skilled craftsman through full time courses with practical base for expanding needs of the Indian Industry. The training given is production - oriented and the students are required to do production work as part of training to develop self confidence and make them readily acceptable to the industry, as also to improve their employment potential. Special attention is also given to the quality of work done by the students in order to make them quality conscious.
